They can see beauty even in the smallest blade of grass. Both are passionate about painting outdoors. So similar, yet so different.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIlvija represents academic painting more – her style features gentle transitions, areas that gently flow into one another, interwoven with free strokes and texture. Gerda also draws on academic foundations, but her works feature more expressive areas, stronger brushstrokes, and greater freedom.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIlvija graduated from the Painting Department of the Latgale branch of the Latvian Academy of Art. She has been a professional painter since 2001, regularly painting, participating in exhibitions and plein air events. Since 2012, she has been leading classes, masterclasses, plein air events, and creative workshops in her studio and on trips throughout Latvia. Gerda is a professional painter who graduated from the Painting Department of the Janis Rozentals Art High School in 2021. She paints in her studio and at plein air events.
